Minerva - Computational Statistics Server
Welcome to minerva.it.manchester.ac.uk!
This is a high-memory compute server for computational statistics, data science and machine learning located at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

Further Access
- Remote graphical login into xfce4 desktop - requires x2go client
- ssh/sftp login - requires ssh/sftp client
- File synchronization by rsync and unison
The above services (all using the SSH port) can only be accessed within the University network, therefore you will need to connect via VPN from outside campus.

This server was put into service in September 2018 and has the following hardware specifications:
- Dell PowerEdge R740 Server
- 2x Intel Xeon Silver 4114 2.2G (total 20 cores, 40 threads)
- 2x NVIDIA Tesla P100 16GB GPU
- 1.5 TB RAM (=1536 GB RAM)
- 1.8 TB disk space (expandable)
